Principal's Report

By Carolyn Serpell & Dave Fraser

We hope that you and everyone in the school community has a wonderful school holidays. Thankyou for all that you do to help the children thrive.

Please take some time over the next few days to sit down and read your child's semester report with them. They are available on Compass online or on the App. Students have also been working on a reflection of their year so far. They will have come home in their bags yesterday or today.

Music Performances

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this week's music performances.  Once again, under the guidance of Emily, our students put on an amazing show, revealing their many talents, as they performed for families and the kinder.

Our sincere thanks again to Emily, for giving so much of her time and expertise to providing our students and community this very

special opportunity.

If you weren't able to attend, or just want to watch it again, all of the concert items can be viewed on the Music page of the newsletter.

End of Term

As Term 2 draws to a close, we would like to thank all those individuals who have contributed to our school and programs this term.

In particular, we would like to thank those volunteers who have given their time to:

  • support our student's learning through the provision of Breakfast Club and fruit platters for the classroom
  • listen to and guide our students in their reading
  • share their skills and expertise during camp and through the intergenerational gardening program
  • be a part of our School Council to provide support with governance and fundraising

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the Op Shop for their recent donations towards our kitchen garden program, which will enable us to purchase additional items for this program such as gardening tools and kitchen equipment.  Our thanks also to the Op Shop, AGL and Rotary who have all contributed funds to subsidise the significant costs associated with the transport for our camps and excursions, enabling us to make these more accessible to families.

Mount Beauty Primary School's Winter Raffle

With the holidays upon us, and only three weeks until we draw our raffle, we are urging families to please keep sharing the raffle link and encouraging friends, family and colleagues to buy some tickets.  So far, we have raised over $3500 in ticket sales, towards our goal of $10,000.  All funds raised will go towards the cost of our computers, so please help us to achieve this goal.

As extra motivation to get selling, we have two fun prizes for the student / family that sell the most raffle tickets, so let's make this big!

Raffle winners will be announced at assembly on Friday 17th July 2026.
