Semester 1 Reports

Semester 1 Reports will be published at 9am on Monday 13 July (Day 1 of Term 3).

Please note that due to industrial action and the future direction of the Department’s reporting requirements, these reports will not include comments. They will, however, include:

  • Work habit values
  • Assessment grades/values
  • Class attendance
  • Whether a parent interview is required

Parent/Student/Teacher Conferences

Conferences (or meet and greets) will be held on Thursday 23 July, 2.30–5.30pm, available online or face to face. More details, including how to book, will be sent out when reports are published at the start of next term.

Please tentatively lock this date in now.

Note: All students will be dismissed at the start of lunch on this day, regardless of whether they are attending a conference.

NAPLAN Results: What to Expect Next Term

If your child sat NAPLAN this year, their Individual Student Report (ISR) is on its way. Here's  what families need to know about timing and what the results actually mean.

When will we receive the report?

Results follow a set timeline each year:

  • June: Final reports are to be delivered to schools.
  • Start of Term 3 (July): Schools distribute Individual Student Reports to parents.
  • August: National results go live publicly on the My School website.

Schools receive reports before families do, and how you receive yours will depend on your school's preference — a sealed envelope sent home, a notification through the school app portal, or a copy handed over at a parent-teacher meeting.

Understanding the results

Each report breaks down your child's performance into four proficiency levels:

  1. Exceeding
  2. Strong
  3. Developing
  4. Needs additional support

These categories are designed to give a clear, plain-language snapshot of where your child is tracking, rather than a raw score that's hard to interpret on its own.

Haven't received your report yet?

If mid-August arrives and you still haven't seen your child's ISR, don't wait on ACARA — they don't issue individual results directly to families. Instead, get in touch with your child's school directly, as they hold the report and are responsible for distribution.

Lunchtime Clubs and Learning

During our lunchtimes, students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of clubs, one such being Technology Club.

In Technology Club, one of the things Teacher Dominic Dong is focusing on is teaching students how to use our 3D printers. Haveer Virk (Class 7D) designed a mountain peak with a picnic bench and soccer field and has printed this design out (see image below). Look at the incredible skills his work shows and just imagine the skills he is learning in computer-aided design!

All students are encouraged to participate in our lunchtime clubs and can find details about what, when and where each club runs in our weekly student bulletin.

Year 9 and 10 Debating

On 17 June, students in the Year 9 debating team participated in Round 4 of their debating competition, hosted by Debating Association of Victoria.

The topic was ‘We should pursue life on Mars’, both Year 9 teams were assigned to the negative side.

Both Year 9 teams were thrilled to win their debates, a great result for all their hard work and dedication. Our opponents were Good News Lutheran College and Sacred Heart College Kyneton.

Congratulations to the following students: Lily Fletcher, Steve Robin, Merin Beljo, Vigashni Murugananda, Olivia Fletcher, Zack Roe, Ekjot Bajaj, Hala Refaieh and Anisha Patil who attended on the night. Olivia Fletcher and Merin Beljo were awarded best speakers.

Our Year 10 team were to face St Albans Secondary College, but unfortunately St Albans forfeited. Year 10 debaters are looking forward to Round 5 on 29th July.

We thank all students for their participation and support of each other.
