Important Update: School Technology Transition to Microsoft 365

 

I am writing to inform you about an exciting upcoming transition at St. Joseph's Cobram as we move from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365 for all our staff and student accounts. This migration is scheduled for May, 20th and will provide our staff and students with a suite of powerful new tools to enhance their teaching and learning experience.

 

Microsoft 365 offers several advantages over our current platform:

  • Enhanced Security: Microsoft 365 is equipped with robust security features that safeguard student data and privacy. This includes features like multi-factor authentication and advanced malware protection.
  • Improved Collaboration: Microsoft 365 fosters a more collaborative learning environment. Students can seamlessly work together on projects in real time using applications like Word, PowerPoint, and OneNote. This allows for better communication and teamwork skills development.
  • Familiarity for the Future: Microsoft 365 is widely used in businesses and educational institutions worldwide. Equipping students with these skills positions them for success in their future academic and professional endeavors.

We are confident that this transition to Microsoft 365 will significantly benefit our staff and students by providing them with a secure, collaborative, and future-oriented learning environment.
