Dear students, parents and guardians,

This week marks just over the half-way point of the Term. I would like to share with you all, new wall charts have been designed and installed across all classrooms in the school. These help to facilitate a common language across the school, in terms of our values, instructional model (the way we teach), wellbeing and positive school wide behaviour practices.

I would like to extend my gratitude to all the staff in the collaborative design and update of these charts. You might notice the inclusion of Wellbeing throughout both the student and staff chart. Below is a copy of the Pillars of wellbeing, designed by our wellbeing team at the College. Please encourage your child or young person to tap into these where possible. We will be integrating tips and strategies devoted to these pillars in our fortnightly assemblies.  

Attitudes to School Survey

The AtoSS is an annual student survey offered by the Department of Education to assist schools to gain an understanding of students' perceptions and experience of school. Over the next few weeks students will be asked about their thoughts and feelings in relation to their school, their learning, peer relationships, resilience, bullying, health and wellbeing, physical activity, and life in general.

We value student voice as a means to improving student engagement, wellbeing and quality instruction. 

We look forward to unpacking the data sets later in the year. With this information we evaluate, develop goals and plan actions to improve our students’ learning experience and wellbeing in the College.
