Cross Country
We wish all the students who have qualified to compete in the Colac Division Cross Country this Thursday 9th May at the Colac Golf Club. We hope they enjoy the challenge of the Cross Country course. Students will be travelling by bus to this event. The bus will leave Sacred Heart at 10:45am and return at 1:45pm. Students need to wear their sports uniform, bring along their water bottle, snacks, fruit and lunch.
We do need parents to assist with this day, so if you can help out can you please indicate on PAM.

State Tennis Championships
Good luck to Jemma Howat who is representing Sacred Heart in the State Tennis Championships this Friday 10th May at Glen Waverley Sports Hub. We hope Jemma has a fantastic day. What a fantastic achievement!
State Team Netball Trials
We wish Ruby Hay and Natalie Farquharson all the best, when they travel to Ballarat, Friday 17th May to participate in the State Team Conference Netball Trials. Good luck girls!
Regional Division Lawn Bowls Tournament
Congratulations to the three teams that have qualified for the Greater Western Regional Lawn Bowls Tournament. This will take place on the 4th September at the Sebastopol Bowling Club.
Football Gala Day
Well done to all the Year 3 and 4 students who played in the Football Gala Day last Thursday. A big thank you also to our Year 5 and 6 boys who umpired on the day. Thanks to the parents/guardians/grandparents who supported the day.

Name: Joseph Coventry (Yr 6KT)
1. What sports do you play? The sports I play are soccer and swimming.
2. Which sport is your favourite to play? My favourite sport to play is soccer.
3. Why is this your favourite sport? Soccer is my favourite sport to play because I get to be active and play with my friends.
4. What is your proudest sporting moment? My proudest sporting moment was when my time for 25 metres freestyle swimming was 18.92.
5. What are your strengths that help you with sport? My strengths in soccer are my soccer ‘smarts’ – I stay very focused when I play and I am very determined.
6. Why do you love playing sports? I love playing sport because it is an awesome way to pass the time with your friends.
7. Who is your favourite sports person? My favourite sports person is Katrina-Lee Gorry – an Australian soccer player.
8. Why are they your favourite? Katrina-Lee Gorry is my favourite player because she is a skilful soccer player and she is very fast.
9. What is your favourite sporting team? My favourite sports team is the Colac Rovers.
10. How would your coaches and teammates describe you? My coach would describe me as a persistant and dedicated player.

3. Why is this your favourite sport? Soccer is my favourite sport because it is a great game to play and I have a lot of fun when I play it.
4. What is your proudest sporting moment? My proudest sporting moment was when I scored 3 goals in my first game of soccer.
5. What are your strengths that help you with sport? My strengths in sport is my speed and I never give up. I will always keep trying.
6. Why do you love playing sports? I love playing sport because it is fun and I like playing with my friends.
7. Who is your favourite sports person? My favourite sports person is famous soccer player Lionel Messi.
8. Why are they your favourite? Messi is my favourite player because he is a great soccer player and he is good at kicking goals.

10. How would your coaches and teammates describe you? My coach and team mates would say that I am a good sport and I don’t give up.

1. What sports do you play? The sport I play is dance.
2. Which sport is your favourite to play? Dance is favourite sport to play.
3. Why is this your favourite sport? Dance is my favourite sport because it is a lot of fun and I get to meet new people and also get to dance with my friends from school.
4. What is your proudest sporting moment? My proudest sporting moment was when I completed my ballet exam.
5. What are your strengths that help you with sport? My main strength in dance is my flexibility.
6. Why do you love playing sports? I love playing sport because I get to see my friends and have a good time with them.
7. Who is your favourite sports person? My favourite sports person is my dance teacher Miss Bonnie.
8. Why are they your favourite? Miss Bonnie is my favourite sports person because she is very kind.
