Textiles

Year 7 have started with their fabric surface patterns this week for their cushion/bag project. 7A and 7G worked on block printing whilst 7C and 7G started with Tie-Dye. The students have been fantastic and have started to create wonderful prints, worked as a team throughout and truly showed our college values throughout. Year 9 Textiles also completed their pants and shorts project this week. They had some excellent outcomes and should be so proud of making their first garment independently. We will now be starting their Coachella Bucket Hat project which will further explore construction techniques alongside surface pattern techniques. 

Textiles wasn't just for the students, we also ran an after-school staff mindful weaving workshop!
