VET - Furniture Making

GSC is offering MSF20522 – Certificate II in Furniture Making Pathways to VET students for the first time in 2024. 

Nick Maxwell instructs 9 GSC and 2 Alice Miller School students every Tuesday from 1pm-5pm. Students have demonstrated competency in units ‘MSMPCI103 Demonstrate care and apply safe practices at work’ & ‘MSFFP2014 Use basic finishing techniques on timber surfaces’ when producing a Pedestal Table made from Victorian Ash and a Serving Tray made from Reg Gum and Resin. This is the 1st year of a 2-year certificate.  Examples of the work already created are below.

This course will be offered at GSC again in 2025 for any students wanting to undertake a VET course of study.
