Outdoor Education Camp

Year 11 Outdoor Education - Kayaking Camp Semester 1

As part of our program in VCE Outdoor Education and Environmental Studies, the Year 11 class embarked on a Kayaking expedition of the Gippsland Lakes. This was an amazing experience for students, who had to organise their supplies, clothing, tents and equipment into dry bags to safely store in the kayaks as we paddled between islands. Students were blown away by the beauty of the area and the natural surrounds which can only be accessed by boat. Some highlights include, watching a pod of dolphins play on a secluded stretch of 90-mile beach and kayaking out before dawn with headtorches so that we could watch sunset on the Lake.
