HOY Update

Welcome back to Term 2!

Firstly, a big thank you to parents and carers for your support in assisting your child to navigate the return to school from the holiday break. This is not always an easy task with teenagers as the mornings become a little cooler!

A reminder that as the Winter months roll in, and with the new changes in the uniform policy communicated recently, the HOY team has support available at the school for your child to access and assist with wearing the correct uniform daily.

Each morning in E03 – Uniform Room, we have loan uniforms available for students to access should they have unforeseen challenges in meeting the school uniform expectations. This is designed to be a supportive space and proactive opportunity that students can access from 8:10 am to 8:30 am each day. As always, if you have any concerns for your child please reach out to your relevant Head of Year.

With any change, this can always present some challenges for young people in adjusting to something outside of what they consider ‘the norm’. This is an opportunity for our students to work on how they exhibit our School Values:

Think Big by planning ahead and communicating with Parents and Carers to ensure the uniform meets the school community’s expectations

Stepping Up by putting in the extra effort to ensure that the correct uniform is washed and ready to be worn with pride

Paying It Forward by encouraging others to wear the uniform correctly and setting a positive example

Being Kind to ourselves by accessing support available to enable ourselves to meet the expectations of our school community
