ANZAC Day 2024
Anzac Day, 25 April, is one of Australia’s most important national occasions. It marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War. This week our school community gathered to reflect on Anzac Day. We were fortunate to have Ian and Cathy Minns from The Gap RSL and the Warrant Office Class Two Dominic Hamon from Gallipoli Barracks in Enoggera join us for our service. Warrant Office Class Two Hamon spoke of the significance of Anzac Day to the community and staff members shared experiences of relatives who serve in war. It was an honour to be among so many people who share in the spirit of remembrance and gratitude. Let us never forget the sacrifices made by those who served and continue to serve our nation.
Mental Health Education Session
Headspace Schools & Communities would like to invite you to attend a Mental Health Education session for Parents and Carers of The Gap State High School.

Cost: Free
This interactive session will cover:
- Mental health and wellbeing in adolescence
- How to have conversations with young people about their mental health & wellbeing
- Strategies for parents and carers about how to support their young person
- Where you and your young person can go for support
