Principal's Message

Welcome back to school for Term Two. It has been a very successful start back, with students and teachers settling into learning and teaching. A smooth start to the term sets a positive tone for the rest of the semester.  We have many exciting things to look forward to this term, so please check the calendar to stay up to date. Please note: 3-way chats (where we encourage you and your child to attend an interview with their teacher) are on Tuesday 18th June.

In this period when the seasons are changing, we use common sense in deciding what to wear. It’s either a full summer or winter uniform to maintain our high standards of presentation. This also includes hair styles and ties, jewellery, and nail polish — keep it neat, keep it simple.

This is the final chance to have your say about YMCA OSH care and possible holiday programs.  As previously communicated, we require 15 or more students to run a school holiday program at St. Joseph's.  I do have concerns that if we can't get the support to operate a holiday program, the YMCA OSH program, could be at risk of closing.  This would be devastating for many of our families who rely on this service to make life work.

If you have any concerns, worries, or positive feedback for your child's teacher please let them know. We love to hear from you, and believe in the importance of open communication and working together to give every student the best education possible.

Warm regards,

Sarah Iddles
