VOCABULARY

Characteristics: A feature or quality belonging typically to a person

Traits:A quality or characteristic, typically one belonging to a person.

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Students can create a detailed character for a narrative they would like to write. Things to think about as they develop their characters: 

- Who is their character? 

- What are their traits? 

- What are their characteristics?

- What do they do for a job?

- What are their fears?

- What do they carry with them? (Objects of significance)

- What has happened to their character in the past?

- What have their experiences been like? 

Have them provide as much detail as they can to ensure they have a solid understanding of who their character is and what role they will play in their narrative.
