Literacy

As you may know, St Joseph's moved from predictable texts to decodable texts in Foundation in 2021.  Since then, we have slowly been building up our bank of decodable texts so that students who are learning how to blend the sounds in words (decode) can read books that have the letter patterns in them that they have learned in class.

This week, we have added 42 new books to our collection for beginning readers in Foundation.  Foundation parents will be seeing them come home soon.  Make sure you look inside the front and back covers for great tips on how to use them with your child!
