Scone Art Prize

Winners announced at the opening night of the Secondary Student Art Prize
As a part of the annual Scone Horse Festival, the Arts and Crafts host the Members Exhibition and Secondary Student Art Prize. We had many students’ and their families attend the opening night and awards presentation on Friday 10 May.
All students who entered works into this competition were praised by other local artists and the wider community who attended on the night. The night was a huge success for our students, with Claudia S (Year 10) awarded the top prize, taking home $300 for her coloured pencil entry of her equine themed artwork titled ‘James’. Chanel S (Year 10) was awarded Highly Commended for her charcoal artwork titled ‘Not Quite Nosey’.
St Joseph’s art students have participated in this competition for the three years it has run and have taken out the top prize each year. We are incredibly proud of their efforts and will continue to encourage students to showcase their talents to the wider community.
