Year 12 Chemistry Excursion

Last Friday, Year 12 Chemistry students were given the opportunity to attend Orica Mining Facility in Kooragang Island for an Education Day. The students were guided through the facility to see how some common chemicals are produced, as well as discussion about the chemistry behind the production and the importance of understanding the chemical processes.

It was great to see the students get involved in the experience and be willing to learn more from the engineers and scientist that were on site and ask questions to help deepen their knowledge and understanding.
