Picking up students on Thursdays
If you need to pick up your child/children on Thursdays after 1pm, please advise the Front Office before 1pm by phone 6543 7444 or via email admin@aberdeen.catholic.edu.au , so your son/daughter can attend the non-sport room. With various sports off site, it is sometimes difficult and time consuming trying to locate students being picked up. If students wait in the non-sport room, it is much quicker to locate them and call them to the office for pick-up.
Cross Country
On Thursday 9 May a successful Diocesan Cross Country was held at Glenbawn. We were very fortunate with the weather with perfect running conditions. Schools from the across the Diocese enjoyed the picturesque setting with some excellent performances on the day. Congratulations to the following students who qualified in the first 6 places to complete at the NSWCCC Cross Country Championships on June 5 at the Sydney Equestrian centre.

Representative Sport
Congratulations to Marlee S who was selected in the Open Girls Diocesan Netball team. Marlee will participate in the NSWCCC Netball selections in Term 3.
Football / Futsal
Our Boys and Girls junior Football teams played in the Diocesan Gala Day at Lake Macquarie Football Facility this week - Junior Boys - Tuesday 14 May and Junior Girls - 16 May. Mr Sokulsky will be coaching the teams. During the following week our Futsal teams will compete in the Futsal qualifying rounds at Maitland Basketball Stadium under the coaching of Mr Hall.
Congratulations to Miley S who has been named in the U16 Girls NNSWF team to play in the NAIDOC Cup in July. This is a fantastic achievement considering the large number of girls who trialled for this team.
Congratulations to Declan Wintle who was selected in the Open Boys Diocesan Football Team to play at the NSWCCC Football Championships on 28/29 May in Sydney. This is also an excellent achievement amongst highly skilled footballers who are predominately based in Newcastle.
Basketball
Exciting news! Sullivan B trialled for the Open Boys NSWCCC Basketball team on Monday and has been selected to represent NSWCCC on 19/20 June. Congratulations on a fantastic achievement.
Rugby League
Congratulations to Macey C who has been selected in the NSW U17s Women’s Country Rugby League team which will play against City at Leichhardt oval on Sunday 19 May.
Next week our U16 and u18 Girls NNSW Rugby League representatives travel to the Central Coast for the NSWCCC Rugby League Championships. We wish the following girls good luck in the competition and selections;
