Library News

Welcome back for Term Two of the school year. Our library has become a popular place for students wanting to socialise, study or play games. A range of new library activities and events will be offered during this term.

The Premier’s Reading Challenge (PRC) is popular with our students. The PRC is not a competition but a challenge for each student to read more widely. The program involves nearly 400,000 students and more than 2,600 government, non-government, and home schools. The PRC booklists open doors to a rich collection of children’s literature representing a range of books, including fiction, non-fiction, picture books, poetry, and a wide variety of Australian authors.

Successful candidates will receive a certificate if they read twenty books, including up to ten books of their own choice. Please email  Mr Boyce on andrew.boyce@mn.catholic.edu.au if you wish to register.  The library has a range of PRC titles available for loan.

The NRL Footy Tipping competition has proven to be quite popular with both staff and students. After Round Nine, there has been a change at the top of leaderboard. Tips can be emailed, as long as they are received before kick-off on Thursday night.
