Dramafest

On Monday the Years 9 and 12 Drama classes were lucky enough to participate in the ASPIRE Dramafest at the Newcastle City Hall. The students learned how to devise a piece of original theatre with Mat Lee, and how to begin staging a monologue with Callum Howard.

The Year 9 students took this opportunity to begin their exploration of character and voice, focusing on their pitch, pace, pause, projection, passion, and emphasis. The Year 12 students, who have just begun brainstorming for their Group Project in the HSC were inspired to begin with a physical theatre to create a story.

All in all, they had a wonderful time and are very appreciative of the CSO’s ASPIRE team for supporting CAPA!
