Trivia Night & Silent Auction

Our largest social event and fundraiser for 2023, the GECPA Trivia Night & Silent Auction will have just been held when this newsletter gets published.  We look forward to sharing with you in the next newsletter fun from the night including Trivia prize winners, photos and more. In addition to the fundraising results from the event.  

For now, we want to say a huge thank you to Lucas Kennedy (Junior School Captain from 9C) who created the beautiful artwork for our ‘Around the World’ theme. 

Working Bee

Roll up your sleeves for our next school grounds’ working bee, rescheduled for Sunday 8 October, 3-5pm. Having had a break from the working bees in Term 3, this particular working bee will be a busy one. So, we are putting the call out for more volunteers.  We have tools onsite at GEC, or you’re welcome to bring your own equipment. These working bees play a huge role in helping maintain and enhance the school grounds. Please pop your name down here if you’re able to help: https://signup.com/go/EJxpOFP

Voice Referendum

Traditionally GEC has been a polling booth location for Federal/ State elections and Referendums. It is likely that GEC will be asked to be a polling booth location for the upcoming Voice Referendum on Saturday, 14 October.  In this case, GECPA will hold a Referendum BBQ stall at GEC on this day. To make this stall happen, and make light work of it, we will need support from volunteers on the day. We will send an email via Xuno calling for volunteers and providing more detail once the polling locations are confirmed, so watch this space.
