Principal's Panorama

Zoe Nugent

Thank you to all of the parents and volunteers who attended the Armidale Diocesan Carnival, many hands make light work and I know that all of your efforts were greatly appreciated by Mrs Hayes and the carnival convenor Heidi.

As per usual, this brilliant little school shone with our students putting their heart and soul into the day and all coming away very successful in their own right!  Looks like we will have to alter the Creative Arts Evening date...as of course it falls on a day we already had planned and dates locked in with the venue! We shall keep you posted.

Please see the Sporting and Extracurricular page for a full rundown.

Some excellent costumes this year for book week!  Making literacy, lived, is always a bonus....as I do each year, I actively commit to giving you as much time as possible for your child to make their own costume. Nothing better than seeing a child totter around in Mum's high heels, balloons in Nan's shirt, Dad's whip slung over their shoulder ooooorrrrr a giant Llama head!  Wonderful effort and thank you to our adjudicators, it is always a hard job to choose a winner and one that I readily handover to parents and grandparent for their astute judgment. Congratulations to all of our staff who also embraces the dress ups with lots of Little Miss's, Paper Bag Princesses, Princess Peach and even a Mad Hatter!!! I really have to hand it to Miss Outridge who has come dressed as a separate character everyday this week! You are a super star!

I actually cannot wait to see the Dress Ups from Week 8 with Monday 4th of September being marked as a Veggie/Fruit Dress up.  I wonder how many bananas, strawberries, grapes and broccoli we will get?

May the fortnight be filled with love and kindness (and if you have a 3/4 student.... a game of 'Word Association') !
