Practice Emergency Drill - 23 August:

Time taken to locate our missing person - Michelle McMaster was 10 minutes.  Well done everyone. 

Feedback from the Missing Person Drill will be discussed at the OHS Meeting tomorrow. 

 

OHS Assurance Assessment

On Monday 28 August, Frances and I spent time with the regional rep, Jackie Pavlovska and the assessor from Ernst and Young.  Our preliminary score was 85% which indicates there is still some scope for improvement, however we scored very well on many of the modules.   The final report will be sent to me in 14 days. 

 

Next OHS Meeting 30 August 2023 

 

Emergency Management Plan is required to be completed by September 1 and will be tabled at school council on September 7. 

 

Cleaners' cupboard soap spill

The tap on the pink soap was left open again & soap spilled over the floor of the cleaner’s room. This is the 2nd month this has occurred.

NO ONE notified Maintenance to attend to urgently fix the issue either time.

If this occurs when you are filling a container, please screw the large lid on the top of the container & lay it on its back. Notify maintenance immediately to enable the problem to be rectified BEFORE someone else uses the drum or slips in the product on the floor.

This is a MAJOR hazard, OHS is everyone’s concern so please ensure that our workplace is safe from potential hazards by reporting hazards that need immediate attention via text or the maintenance log on SharePoint and Edusafe+.
