This week Year 12 students attended a presentation from Centrelink to talk about all the supports available to them when they leave school at the end of the year. Students moving into university may be eligible for Youth Allowance and Abstudy payments and also Relocation Scholarships depending on eligibility. Centrelink recommends that you make an application online or make an appointment to see them in their Shepparton office.

Part time Jobs Expo
On Thursday 31st August a Part Time Jobs Expo has been organised for students interested in gaining part time and casual employment. Christmas holidays aren’t far away and many large businesses will be looking at putting on additional staff. Businesses including McDonalds, Kmart, Target, Woolworths and KFC will be talking to students about the company they work for and advising students on how to complete job applications.

The Apprenticeship Factory each year advertises traineeships in the following areas:

These traineeships are a paid 1 year commitment with a Certificate III qualification obtained when completed. Agriculture

Dookie campus is a working farm - a centre of agricultural research and teaching. YEAR 11 STUDENTS
If you are in Year 11 and plan to study medicine, dentistry and/or oral health in 2025, you may need to sit the UCAT ANZ (University Clinical Aptitude Test).
You will sit the test during Year 12 and selected universities use your UCAT ANZ results as part of the selection process, in conjunction with your ATAR and Year 12 results, and in some cases an interview.
You will only have one chance to sit the UCAT ANZ in 2024. It will cost you around $325 to sit the test, or $199 concession (costs may rise in 2024), and you will be able to receive your results straight away.
