From the Principal

We would like to acknowledge the original custodians of this land and waterways

and pay our respects to the Elders past and present and emerging,

for they hold the memories, the traditions, the culture and hopes of Indigenous Australia.

Dear Families

Welcome to our second last newsletter for Term 3.  Time has certainly flown.

First Eucharist

Last Sunday 27 August some of the Year 4 students received the Sacrament of Eucharist for the first time.  Congratulations to the following students, Primrose, Isaac, Tanya, Charlie D, Max, Jemima, Avana, Isabella, and Ava.  May God guide you on your spiritual journey and the memory of your special day remain deep in your hearts. This Sacrament enables the students to embrace the special connection and commitment to our Lord, Jesus, through the receiving of the Eucharist and understand the mystery and uniqueness of the opportunity to come closer to Him.  A special Thank you to Dion, Chloe and Flora who attended Mass for a special blessing.

Fathers' Day Stall and  Breakfast

I find it intriguing that Father's Day is celebrated on different dates and in different ways across the world. At St Anthony's we always celebrate it with great vigor and enthusiasm and upkeeping the traditions well and truly alive with our wonderful community.

It was so pleasing to have so many children at shcool early with their dads or special person enjoying the breakfast that looked delicious.

The children also enjoyed the opportunity to purchase their special gifts which they could give with great pride and pleasure.

Our thanks go out to the PFA and the wonderful Years 3 & 4 parents especially, Vicki, Joy, Luci and Kate  who took onboard this huge task making it special for our children.

Zone Athletics Day

What a fantastic effort form our students who participated in today's Holt Zone Athletics' Day.

Congratulations to Yiani, Primrose, Austin, Theresa, Anakin, Poppy, Amelie, Maeve, Lion, Eddie, Jadeen, Joshua, Banjo, Evelyn,  Isaac, Rocco, Hamilton, Julian, Arlen, Dion and Lachie. The great encouragement from the students, parents and their teachers  made them more eager to do their best.  Thank you  to all the students for proudly representing our school and giving their best for this day.  What an amazing achievement to have placed 6th overall.  Congratulations to you.

Garden Market

Please prepare your gold coins for the Market Day next Friday where you will be able to buy more of our yummy produce from our Veggie Garden.  Bring along your raspberry or blueberry containers.

Footy Fun Day

The last day of school, Friday 15 September,  is our usual Footy Fun Day where everyone is encouraged and welcomed to come to school wearing the colours of your favourite football team.  All codes are welcome.

Sincere regards.

Father's Day Blessing:

Dear God, Bless all the father figures in our lives who have accepted the responsibilities of being a parent. Guide them to be outstanding role models to their children. Let them look to your example and to parent with patience, unconditional love and understanding. Amen.
