A Message from Parents & Friends
Hi everyone,
This term seems to have flown by - but it has been busy with lots of fundraising. Term three total fundraising is $7581.04. Add that to our rolling total for the year, we now have $38526.04, towards improving our STEM facilities. That is an amazing effort from our wonderful community - thank you!
Here is this fortnights update from us:
Friday treats
Friday treats are finished for Term three. Thank you to all our wonderful volunteers on Friday’s and thank you to everyone who has bought something. Thanks to you all we have raised a total $1554.05 this term. We really hope that the children enjoyed the winter treats.
Next term sees the return of icy poles (in the hope that this sunshine and warmth lasts).

Father’s/ Special Person’s Day Stall & Event
We really hope all you special people enjoyed the event and the gifts you received this year from your child/ children.
Thank you to Fiona and Leanne and their volunteers for working so hard on the event and for the stall - it really was lovely to see so many happy faces around the school on the day!
We would also like to thank Tom Brockbank for the donation of the sausages and to Breadhaus Bakery at Central Square for the discount on the bread. We are delighted to announce that we raised $1155.78 with the stall and the BBQ raised $1867.45, so the total fundraising for that day was $3,023.23. Thank you to everyone who supported this - that’s an amazing amount of fundraising towards our STEM facilities!
TERM 4 - what’s happening
Family Portraits - Saturday 7th October
Thank you to everyone who has already booked a spot for this day. There are now a limited number of places available. Once they are gone, they are gone!

Referendum BBQ and Bake Sale - Saturday 14th October
Altona Green will be an election centre for the upcoming referendum on Saturday 14th October. With this, we are going to be hosting a referendum BBQ and Bake Sale on this day. We will send further details out the first week back from school holidays.
In the meantime, you can sign up to help out on the day here:
Grandparent/ Special Person’s Day - Friday 27th October
Plans are underway for this event. We will ensure a Compass note and information about the event will be sent home at the beginning of October.
Bogan Bingo - Friday 17th November
Just a reminder that we will be hosting an adult only evening where we will run games of Bingo! More details will follow early October, but for now organise babysitters and let your friends and family know for this entertaining and fun night.
End of Year Raffle
Just a reminder that if you have brand new gifts that you don’t want, can you think of school first before getting rid of them. We’re talking about body care sets, glasses, toys, general gifts etc… things that we can add to our raffle. It needs to be in excellent condition and unopened (we’re not an op shop)! If you have anything, please feel free to leave them at the office where we can collect. Bonus if it’s Christmas related!

We really do need more volunteers to come and get involved. We’re meeting Friday mornings for the remainder of this Term.
