Principal’s Report

Our school music program took centre stage once again last Friday with our annual House Music Competition. This was a brilliant event that showcased the musical talent of students at Belmont High School. It was fantastic to see the engagement of the whole school and the fun had by all. Congratulations to Purple House who have now gone back to back to be crowned the champions of the music contest.

There are several important events occurring during Term 3 that have impact on some classes running. Please see a list of these and the dates occurring:

  • Wednesday 13th September – Colour Run (R U Ok Day)
  • Thursday 14th September – Year 12 Wellbeing Day (No classes for Year 12’s on this day)
  • Friday 15th September – Final day Term 3 (2:30 finish)

Interim Reports

The second cycle of ongoing reports for this semester will be available for parents to view on Compass from Friday 15th September. I encourage you to look over these reports with your child and discuss their learning.

Parent Survey

Recently 300 of our families would have received an email regarding the ‘Parent opinion Survey’. This data is invaluable as it gives the school the chance to reflect on how parents feel about their engagement in their child’s education. If you’ve received this email, I encourage you to complete this survey and help us provide a better service for our school community. You have until September 8 to complete.

R U OK Day

On Wednesday 13th September, we will celebrate our school’s R U Ok Day. This year we are holding an optional school Colour Run to support this worthy by cause. This is a Compass Event which students can opt in to, closing on 11th September. Students who choose to participate will need to ensure they bring a change of clothes (white T-Shirt) to get changed into for the run. All students will have the opportunity to enjoy music, sausage sizzle and other activities during the afternoon. Please refer to the flyer in the Gold House News.

Final Day of Term 3

The final day of Term 3 will be Friday 15th September. Students will finish school at 2.30pm on this day.
