Digital Technologies 

So, the other week when I was over at Middle Gully a lovely student asked me what one of the plants where, when my reply of 'Green' wasn't good enough for them, I realised my Middle Gully Plant knowledge was lacking.

So, I had two options, look into it myself, or get the students to do it for me - I went with option two.

 

To that end, our Junior students are spending the next couple of weeks photographing and cataloguing all of the vegetation at Middle Gully to create plant labels we can place over there.

 

Now, as we don't know our Aeonium Arboreums from our Sedum spathulifoliums, we are using Google Lens on our iPads to analyse our photos to let us know the plant species and how to best care for them.

 

You can see some of our horticulturalists in action in this picture, oh and a massive lizard who is now called Daniel apparently (which I assume is because he was so good looking)
