2023 SWIMMING PROGRAM
We are learning a skill for life and enjoying the FUN and FITNESS.
Our Whole School 2023 Swimming Program commenced on Thursday, 26th October. The program was run over six weeks with one lesson being held each week. Lessons alternated between Thursdays and Fridays and our last lesson will be tomorrow Friday 1st December (a total of 6 days water time).
The PLC Aquatic Centre has provided our students with quality Swimming and Water Safety lessons. The program has encompassed water familiarisation, water safety, survival skills, deep water experience, stroke development with an emphasis on technique, fitness and fun. The lessons have been being held in the learners’ pool, in the 25m pool and in the dive pool.
A huge thank you to Shelly and Kate and all the wonderful instructors who have
coordinated and run this vital part of our HPE program at OHR.

The Grade 3-6 Swimming Carnival is being held next Tuesday 5th December at the PLC Aquatic Centre 12.45pm - 2.45pm. Please see the approx. times for the events above.
This is a wonderful Carnival that showcases all the skills and techniques the students have learnt over the 2023 swimming program.
The day includes:
Swimming Races, Wacky Relays and fun "off" the big boards.
The students will be transported to and from the pool by bus on the day.
A reminder that goggles and swim caps must be worn in the swimming pool.
Parents are most welcome (No parents races unfortunately!)
