Good Afternoon Moonie Families.
Welcome to the last newsletter of the year.
What a busy year we have had. The children have all worked extremely hard to make great progress with their learning and to finish assessments in time to dive into concert practice.

STEM Day
On Friday, our students enjoyed a day filled with fun and hands-on learning during our gala for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. The purpose of the day is to create awareness around the different STEM related careers that students may enter into. It was also a great exploratory learning opportunity for all of the children involved. From v8 racing drones, to mechanical Lego and exploding science experiments, we certainly learnt a lot and enjoyed ourselves. Thank you to our P&C for catering and to all of the staff who helped plan and prepare for the event. Please enjoy the photos.
Thank you!
As this is my last newsletter as the principal of beautiful Moonie State School, I would like to extend my most sincere thanks to all of the wonderful parents and community members who have made my year so enjoyable. This truly is a fantastic school and a wonderful place to work. All of the children here are so polite, hard-working and excited about their learning. All of these things make my job so much easier and thoroughly enjoyable. I will leave here next week with memories of a kind and welcoming community who have supported me through a very big year. I wish you all a safe and happy Christmas break and a fantastic new year. I look forward to seeing you all again soon when I bring baby Cuthbert back for a visit.
