Kitchen Garden

3L

Last week, students from 3L completed their sixth week participating in the Kitchen Garden Program. 

 

The students finished off with cooking a 3-course meal made with fresh produce from the school's garden. 

 

The students chose three dishes to cook: 

Pumpkin Soup with Cheesy Herb Bread

Vegetable Fritters and Salad of the Imagination

Scones with Rhubarb and Raspberry Jam and Cream

 

Small groups of students worked together with grandparent volunteers and employees from Saputo to prepare and cook the delicious menu. 

 

Saputo support our kitchen garden program throughout the year with vouchers to use to purchase dairy products at Cheese World. 

 

Thank you to all of our volunteers for making the cooking session such a great experience. And a big thankyou Allesha for passing on your love of gardening and teaching our students invaluable life skills like how to grow, harvest and cook produce from the garden.
