Attendance Expectations

At Calrossy Anglican School we know that consistent attendance is key to our students' academic success and personal development. We remind all parents and guardians of the expectation that students attend school every day.

On the rare occasion that a student is unable to attend or you are collecting your child early, please notify us promptly by emailing our attendance office at attendance@calrossy.nsw.edu.au

Timely communication helps us ensure the safety and well-being of all students.

It is our expectation that all students are at their mentor class by 8:40 AM each day with their mobile phones secured in their YONDR pouches.

Thank you for your cooperation and support in fostering a productive learning environment.

House Music

by Hayley Munro and Annabel Scott.

House Music 2024 was nothing short of a ‘Roaring’ success with much talent on display. The shooting stars of Cuthbert took out the overall prize with their fabulous renditions of ‘Eye of the Tiger’, ‘Just Can’t Wait to be King’ and ‘Don’t Stop me Now’. The musical talent of Freddy Mercury, re-incarnated through the fabulous Cameron McDonald, was on full display, burning Cuthbert through the sky. Not to be missed, however, were the slightly less tuneful (but nonetheless entertaining) refrains of Nicholls. Their small group dazzling us all with their Ken-ergy, and a beautiful rendition of ‘Don’t go Breaking my Heart’ left the audience heart-warmed. The 7-9 Nicholls group were definitely still standing on the stage after their stunning voices carried the Elton John classic to new heights.  The twinkling triangle adorned Sheean small group’s fabulous rendition of ‘Stand By Me’, and the 10-12 group took us to our very own utopia with ‘Try Everything’ by Shakira. Hamlin helped us to get our head in the game with the High School Musical classic, ‘What I’ve Been Looking For’ with Paul Sayad as Calrossy’s very own Troy Bolton. The wonderful home of black and white continued our journey with the tale of a small town girl, living in her lonely world.

The fabulous Maryanne Piper had the hardest decision of the day, and she was met by the raucous crowd of support from all sides. The day was filled with lots of laughter, fun, and more noise than Mr Smith’s Apple Watch could handle! Our hearts were full, and our lungs slightly less so, but overall House Music 2024 was electrifying-ly awesome, and we can’t wait for the next one!

There was a new trophy, House Spirit, with the 7-9 trophy going to Nicholls and Sheean taking out the Senior Secondary. History was also made today, with the Year 12 boys from Nicholls House bringing some "Kenergy" to the stage in the first all male elective and an unforgettable highlight of the day. Special thanks to the adjudicator Maryanne Piper a Calrossy Alumni.
