Week 5 Parent Letter

Happy Mothers Day to all our wonderful Mums, Grandmums and special people in our lives.

What have we been up to in the classroom?

In maths, we have been exploring addition, learning the jump strategy and correct setting out when completing vertical addition.  In literacy, we have been using the 5 senses to include detail to our writing so we can engage our readers. Inquiry continues to interest the students, investigating the world around us, especially Egypt, India and Greenland. 

Nursery Fiasco incursion

The Year 2’s loved participating in this incursion, drawing on their imagination and humour. Everyone had a lot of fun exploring stories and acting out different characters. It was a delight to see students so engaged in this activity.

Thursday 23rd May- 100 Years Whole School Celebration DRESS UP (further details on compass)

Monday June 10th- King's Birthday

Friday 28th June- Last Day 2.30 Dismissal

Mathletics tasks are set and available for your child to complete at home if you choose.

As we are now in cold and flu season please keep your children at home if they are feeling unwell to prevent the spread as much as possible.
