Junior School News
The past few weeks have been incredibly busy for our students, and we know they are feeling the fatigue. We are so proud of their hard work and resilience in class, recognising the effort they put in every day. We appreciate how tired they must be when they get home. With the holidays just around the corner, we’re all looking forward to a much-needed break. Hang in there— the countdown is on!
Grandparent's Day
Our favourite day of the year! Well done to our Junior Students on a fantastic performance.
Prep News
We'd like to extend a warm welcome to Miss Robson from ACU, who will be working alongside Miss Wood in Prep W for the next few weeks. We are incredibly fortunate to have such a wonderful educator supporting our students.
This week in MSL, we are learning about the silent 'e' syllable rule, where the 'e' jumps over the consonant to make the vowel say its name (long sound)
In Maths, students are exploring 2D shapes, learning their names and features. We've had fun with hands-on activities, making shapes with play-dough, using geo boards, and creating pictures with various 2D shapes. In the coming weeks, we will focus on two-digit numbers up to 20.

In MSL, our students are learning the duck rule: when the /k/ sound follows a short vowel, we use 'ck', as in the words "luck," "wake," and "crack."
In Maths, our students have completed their addition and subtraction unit and have begun exploring durations of hours, days, weeks, and sequencing time.
Converting fragments to sentences was the focus in TWR.
A highlight lesson for our Year One's this week was their Respectful Relationships lesson. Students are learning about our differences and how these can influence our unique approaches to problem-solving. They are also discovering ways to support each other, recognising that we often share similar feelings, such as being nervous about coming to school in the morning or feeling unheard by friends.
