Peaceful Minds

On Monday we were delighted to see approximately 20 parents of some of our year 1/2 students learning about the Peaceful Kids program in the staffroom after assembly. We are all very excited to start this program with 36 students next week. The students who are participating in the first round of the program should come home and tell you all about their first experience either next Tuesday or next Thursday. Hopefully, they will also invite you to do some mindfulness and meditation with them at home.

Resilience Rights and Respectful Relationships

This term, as part of our collaboration with DPV Health, we are introducing the last of our key Respectful Relationships messages: ‘Share Our Similarities. Celebrate Our Differences.’

‘Share Our Similarities. Celebrate Our Differences.’  focuses on recognising that we all have things in common and things that make us different and unique, and these should be celebrated.

As a school community, a similarity that we all share is our commitment to our shared school values of Respect, Honesty, Cooperation, Caring and Personal Best. These shared values help to make Lalor East Primary School the positive place that it is, where we can work, learn, and play together.

As a diverse school community, we also have many differences to celebrate. Our community comprises different backgrounds, religions, language groups, personalities, skills and abilities, interests, and so much more. These different qualities make a valuable contribution to our classrooms, school, and community.
