SENIOR BOYS & GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

On Friday 17th May our Senior Boys and Girls Volleyball teams travelled to Melbourne to compete in the 2024 SSV State Volleyball Championships.

Both teams came up against some very impressive opponents who displayed some amazing volleyball skills.

Unfortunately, neither team was able to win a match during the day but they both had many long and exciting rallies against their opponents.

The experience our students gained by playing against the state’s best is invaluable.

Well done to all students involved and a big thank you to Kara and Josh for taking the teams to Melbourne.

HC 1 was successful in progressing to the next level winning all their games against HC 2, St Brigid’s, HTLC & Marian College.

Our other College team also had a successful only dropping the one game for the day against HC 1.

Well, done to all students involved and thanks to Freddy F and Mr Price for coaching our teams.

SENIOR GIRLS BLACK RANGE NETBALL

On Thursday 16th May Horsham College entered a Year 11 team and a Year 12 team to compete in the Black Range Netball competition at Horsham City Oval.

Both teams had a great day with the Year 12 winning all their games and our Year 11 team only dropping the one against the Year 12 girls.

The girls really enjoyed the opportunity of being able to play with their fellow students as most of them would normally play against each other on a Saturday.

Thanks to Ms Bywaters and Brooklyn for assisting with coaching duties and Molly A & Jayda P for umpiring the games.

The Year 12 team will now progress to the next level which will be played in Ballarat on Tuesday 11th June.
