On Friday 17th May our Senior Boys and Girls Volleyball teams travelled to Melbourne to compete in the 2024 SSV State Volleyball Championships.
Both teams came up against some very impressive opponents who displayed some amazing volleyball skills.
Unfortunately, neither team was able to win a match during the day but they both had many long and exciting rallies against their opponents.
The experience our students gained by playing against the state’s best is invaluable.
Well done to all students involved and a big thank you to Kara and Josh for taking the teams to Melbourne.

Both teams had a great day with the Year 12 winning all their games and our Year 11 team only dropping the one against the Year 12 girls.
The girls really enjoyed the opportunity of being able to play with their fellow students as most of them would normally play against each other on a Saturday.
Thanks to Ms Bywaters and Brooklyn for assisting with coaching duties and Molly A & Jayda P for umpiring the games.
The Year 12 team will now progress to the next level which will be played in Ballarat on Tuesday 11th June.

Here are the detailed impressive results from their day:
Despite being outclassed in the final game against the impressive Maribyrnong Sports Academy team, the HC girls were deserving runners up and had a brilliant and rewarding end to a very long day.
The Senior Boys team had a fun and enjoyable day despite not winning a match - well done to Tom D, Alex D, Archie S and Christian M representing HC with pride and great sportsmanship.
All our students should be so proud of their achievements - to qualify and play at such high level of competition against some of the best in the State is no mean feat.
