Year 11 News

Tim Pitt & Lauren Thomson | Year 11 Coordinators

As we embrace the chill of winter, and hit the official mid-way of the term, it's important to ensure we're staying on track with our studies and school responsibilities as we wrap up Unit 1. Here are some important reminders and updates to keep you informed and prepared for the season ahead:

Winter Uniform: With the drop in temperatures, please remember to continue wearing the appropriate winter uniform. This ensures both comfort and adherence to school regulations. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated. If you need any help sourcing pieces of the uniform please stop by and see the YLCs in the Year 11 & 12 office.

VCE Unit 1 Progress: As we reach the end of Unit 1 and 3, it's essential to stay up to date with your studies. If you have any concerns or queries regarding your progress, don't hesitate to reach out to your teachers for guidance and support. They are here to help you succeed.

Subject Change Updates: We understand that sometimes adjustments to your subject choices may be necessary. While we are not accepting subject-change forms just yet, please keep an eye out for updates regarding the submission process. The opportunity to submit subject-change forms will open soon, allowing you to make any necessary adjustments.

Key Dates to Remember:

  • Four-Day Weekend: Mark your calendars for the upcoming four-day weekend, starting from Friday, the 7th of June, and extending until Monday, the 10th of June. It's a perfect opportunity to recharge and catch up on any pending tasks.
  • General Achievement Test (GAT): The GAT is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, the 18th of June. This is a significant event for all VCE students taking a Unit 3/4 class and serves as an essential component of your assessment. Ensure you are prepared and ready to perform your best on the day.

As we navigate through the winter months, let's continue to prioritise our academic endeavours while also taking care of ourselves both physically and mentally. Remember, your teachers and school staff are here to support you every step of the way.

Wishing you all the best for the remainder of the term!
