Farm

Well, we've finally had some rain and the paddocks are turning green!  It's amazing to see the transformation, not only in the crops, but in the pastures as well.  It's been touch and go with the livestock feeding, with hay stocks depleted and grain stores getting down.  In a few weeks' time I'm sure we'll have some happy sheep and cows.

Weekend Duty

The weekend duty roster for the remainder of this term is shown below.  Parents, Students and staff will receive a reminder email a few weeks before their scheduled duty dates. This will ensure that everyone will be fully aware of when weekend duty is approaching.

June 8 and 9

Shellbee Laws, Tiffany Kindred, Matilda Saunders and Lloyd Henderson

June 15 and 16

Jesse Price, Sheldon Langsford, Brody Lia and Orlando Cruz

June 22 and 23

Grace Henderson, Brock Beeck, Archer Davey, Daniel Davies and Lincoln Cannon (Saturday)

Seeding Roster

All students that are taking part in seeding competencies, need to keep an eye on the roster placed on the board in the Farm workshop.  Due to weather conditions, mechanical issues and paddock changes, it has been necessary to move students from their original rostered times.  The next week will have a few changes due to the good rains that are forecast (it doesn't hurt to think positive!).  Many thanks to all the students who have been checking the roster and accommodating the changes.  Thanks again to Trades staff and Teachers for enduring the student shuffles of late.

Thank you!

I would just like to thank the teaching staff who have been assisting us in VET Theory classes when we have been short-staffed on Farm.  I have had offers from teaching, trades and administration staff to help out when we've been under the pump.  This goes to show the comradery between the different 'areas' of WACoA Cunderdin.
