Mother’s Day Liturgy

Last Friday, our school community came together for a beautiful and heartfelt liturgy to honour mothers, grandmothers, aunties and all the special women who play such important roles in our lives. It was a time of prayer, reflection and gratitude as we gave thanks for their love, strength and care. We are truly blessed to have them in our lives. Thank you to all the staff who helped to prepare this special celebration and the students for making the liturgy memorable for their mums.

Pope Leo XIV

"Peace be with all of you!" These heartfelt words marked Pope Leo XIV's first address after his election on May 8, followed by his sincere 'urbi et orbi' blessing to the crowds at St. Peter's Square. With a focus on the peace of the Risen Christ, he shared how this peace flows from God's unconditional love for each of us.

As a Catholic community, we welcome the first Pope from the United States. We look to Pope Leo XIV for wisdom, guidance, and spiritual leadership as he begins his ministry of service to the Church and the world.

Dear God,

We thank You for the gift of Pope Leo XIV.

Bless him with courage to lead, wisdom to teach,

and love that mirrors Your own.

May Your Spirit guide and protect him always.

Amen.

God Bless,
