Grade 2/3/4

And just like that we are in Term 2 and Week 3. We have had a great start to this term!

The 2/3/4's have been getting back into Literacy with a novel study of 'Matilda' by Roald Dahl. We have been exploring the world of Matilda, a five and a half year old girl, navigating her life as a curious learner. They have also been delving into narrative structure and how we can implement these in our own writing.

In Numeracy, the 2/3/4's have been engaging in fractions. They have been investigating how to write a fraction, what the different components are, identifying fractions in shapes and comparing fractions. We also have been exploring equivalent fractions and creating number lines and fraction strips to showcase these.
