Program highlight: PMP

Perceptual Motor Program (PMP) in Action!

Our students have been actively participating in the Perceptual Motor Program (PMP) this term, and it’s been fantastic to see their enthusiasm and progress! PMP is a structured program that helps develop essential motor skills such as balance, coordination, spatial awareness, and body control — all vital foundations for classroom learning.

Through fun, hands-on activities like crawling, skipping, balancing, and throwing, students are strengthening both their physical and cognitive abilities. Studies have shown that stronger neural pathways are built through targeted physical activities involving both hemispheres of the brain, many of which involve ‘crossing the mid-line’ - this is a large focus of PMP. Not only is it great for the students learning and development, but it is a whole lot of fun!
