Acting Principal's Message

Welcome to Term Two.

We have had a wonderful start to the term with a short week with Anzac Day and Easter Monday bookending the first week. We have enjoyed returning to our weekly learning routines and catching up with our classroom friends. The student connections have been wonderful to observe in the playground.

We also had our first Assembly for this term last week. It was lovely to see the students presented with their awards from the classroom teachers, all focused upon showing the school value of Respect. We are continuing to improve our Assembly structure so it may look a little different at times moving forward.

We have transitioned to the winter school uniform. Please see the office if you need to update any uniform items.

We have also opened our doors to 2026 potential prep enrolment and hosted a parent information session. If you require or know of someone who requires a 2026 prep school placement, please contact the school for a private tour.

To all the mothers, aunts, grandmothers, great-grandmothers and special people in our students lives, please remember to celebrate your loved ones with Mother's Day this weekend.

This term has also welcomed Carly Toth back from family leave. We are all very excited to have her back working in our George Street community. The students are very pleased to have her returned.

I am also very excited to inform you that my Acting Principal role will continue for 12 months. I work Tuesday to Friday and am excited to go further in my journey with George Street with you all. We are lucky to have a fabulous leadership team with Mrs Samantha Eales continuing on as our Leading Teacher and Miss Micaela McCombe as our Learning Specialist. If you need any assistance or support, please reach out to a member of the leadership team.
