Grade 4 News

Term 2 is off to a strong and positive beginning!

It’s been lovely to welcome everyone back with bright smiles and an eagerness to learn.

In Literacy, we’ve begun our new class novel Uncle XBox

The students are really enjoying the story and participating in lively discussions. The story connects with our learning focus this term, which explores Indigenous Culture and connection to Country, allowing students to deepen their understanding of First Nations perspectives through literature.

Alongside our novel study, students have been practising sentence expansion to add detail and interest to their writing, as well as developing their skills in writing a factual recount, focusing on clear structure and accurate information.

We’re learning all about decimals in Mathematics, the current focus is on tenths and hundredths.

Students are learning how to write these values in decimal format, recognise their place value and placing decimals on a number line, helping to build a strong visual understanding of the size and order of decimal numbers.

In Religion, we are focusing on celebrating the Gift of the Spirit, learning how it guides and strengthens us in our lives.

We are holding a Mother’s Day Mass this Friday at 9:00 am.

All Mothers, Grandmothers, and special guests are warmly invited to join us for this special celebration.

We’re looking forward to a wonderful term ahead!
