This calendar will enable students to plan study schedules and stay organised throughout the term. Parents should note the shift of assessment to end of Week 10 to maximise learning time. Parents are also encouraged to use the assessment calendars to stay connected to what students are working on at school.
Year 7 Camp – Noosa North Shore Adventure
From the 7th to the 9th of May, our Year 7 students embarked on an unforgettable adventure at Noosa North Shore for the 2025 camp. Set against the stunning backdrop of beach and bush, the camp was a fantastic opportunity for students to challenge themselves, build friendships, and enjoy the great outdoors.
Over the three days, students enthusiastically took part in a wide range of activities including bodyboarding, canoeing, bouldering, initiative games, mountain biking, mini-golf, and a variety of team-building exercises. Each activity offered a chance to develop new skills, encourage one another, and step out of comfort zones in a supportive and fun environment.
The weather was exceptional for the most part, with sunny skies making the beach and outdoor activities all the more enjoyable. Despite a downpour on the final morning, spirits remained high and students took it all in stride.
The behaviour and engagement of our Year 7s were outstanding throughout the camp. It was heartening to see students displaying resilience, cooperation, and positivity in every aspect of the experience.
A heartfelt thank you goes to all the students for their enthusiasm and energy, and to the dedicated staff who supported the camp and ensured its success.

Synergy Classes Year 8 English and Maths
This program groups students based on their unique academic needs to help them improve faster. Students learn in an environment that sets high expectations, offering
both support and challenges at every level. This approach helps students and teachers work together in a supportive way that builds confidence and success. Recent neuroscience research has shown that the adolescent brain between 9 and 14 years of age presents an important second window of opportunity of rapid brain change akin to the first three years of life where experiences and environment play a huge role in shaping learning and development.
The Synergy Learning model represents flexibility and as students' skills grow or need further development, they can move between classes in the Synergy Learning model. At the end of this term teachers will review student progress and consider skills required for semester two and make any recommendations and changes to student’s class placement to support this. Parents are encouraged to support their child in developing resilience and continual growth in readiness for any moves.
