3-6 Garden Survey with K-2

Recently, Mrs Walters and Stage 2 students devised and wrote a survey about a very important topic: the school garden! After finalising their survey questions, students visited the K-2 class to collect data. The survey explored topics such as which plants students would like to grow, how many days a week they could help in the garden, and what should be done with any produce that is grown.

Music in K-2

As they continue to complete the Amplify music program, students in the K-2 class have been learning about the concepts of structure, pitch and duration. Recently, students had a chance to compose their own song! Using digital keyboards, they experimented with different notes to create, notate and perform short melodies in C Major. 

Religion in K-2

Students in K-2 have been learning more about our local parish and priests lately. In addition to having discussions about our Sacred Heart Parish, students have learned more about what happens at a Catholic Mass and why different elements of Mass, such as Holy Communion, are so important.
