Thank you to all families who have submitted requests regarding class placements for 2026. Our teaching staff will now begin the process of carefully reviewing all requests as part of forming classes for next year. As always, a great deal of consideration will be given to each child’s academic progress, wellbeing, friendships, and the overall balance of each class. While we will do our best to take all requests into account, please note that not every request can be accommodated due to the complexity of the class formation process.
Today, 31 October, is World Teachers’ Day. At Wheelers Hill Primary School, we are fortunate to have highly dedicated teachers who support the social, emotional, and academic growth of our students every day. I would like to acknowledge and sincerely thank our teachers for their commitment, care, and the invaluable contribution they make to our school community and to our students’ learning.
Thank you to the School Council and Parents Association who organised and funded a coffee van for the teachers this morning before school began. Thanks for your kind thoughts and wishes.

Well done to Hannah in Year 4, who represented both Wheelers Hill Primary School and Team Victoria at the School Sport Australia National Swimming Championships held in Ballarat from the 25th- 29th October.
Hannah achieved a silver medal in the medley relay event, where she swam the breaststroke leg, and also won a bronze medal in the 50m breaststroke, with an impressive time of 40.73 seconds! Congratulations, Hannah — your Wheelers Hill Primary School community is very proud of you.

A big thank you to Sarah McFarlane (mother of Axel) who has taken some new photos around the school in anticipation of a website update before the end of the year. Thank you Sarah, we greatly appreciate your time and photographic skills !!

We are at that time of the year where we are in the process of planning for 2026. We know that some families unfortunately won’t be with us next year, due to moving to a new house or area etc. If that includes your family, we are sorry to see you leave our community.
Please ensure that you call the school or email to inform us of your plans at your earliest convenience. This supports us with our planning for next year.
Please note that we have two student-free days later this term to assist with teacher planning and report writing.
Monday 24th November - Report Writing Day
Friday 5th December - Planning Day
