From the Principal

Hi All,

This week, I was on school camp with the Year 3/4 students and staff. I had a brilliant time, and so did the staff.

Check out the photos below of some of the action.

VISION, MISSION and VALUES

Today during House Assemblies, the students all took part in a design challenge linked to our renewed school vision and mission that we will be launching soon.

This refresh is far more appropriate for our school, sets the bar high and includes all the things you told us are important to you.

It was so nice seeing the kids all work together designing logos and images that will be used for years to come!

Stay Tuned.

LOTS OF NEW DATES FOR THE DIARY.

ABSENCES

The admin team let me know that they are finding it difficult to keep on top of absences. There are a number of familes that are either not providing a reason, or, not getting back to us when we make the follow up calls.

This takes up time that shoudl be used for other more important office tasks. Please be responsible for reporting absences.

You can let the office know your child will be absent by:

  • Completing an Attendance Note on Compass – this is the quickest and easiest way
  • Calling the school’s dedicated absence phone line and leaving a message
  • Phoning the school office directly and speaking with one of our administration staff
  • Emailing the school at hamlyn.banks.ps@education.vic.gov.au

If your family is going away on holidays, the school requires written notification. This can be submitted as an Attendance Note on Compass or by email and should include the dates your child will be absent and the expected return date.

Please notify the school as early as possible on the day of absence (or in advance if known). Your cooperation helps us keep every student safe and accounted for each day.

See you at the front gate.
