Library News

In Library sessions we don’t just borrow books, although that in itself is very important for your child’s literacy development! We also expose the students to different styles of writing, different themes and a variety of literary devices such as rhyme, rhythm and imagery.

“I believe in you,” and “Maybe,”are the most delightful books promoting positive emotions dealing with belonging and the endless potential in all of us. “Henry’s Pirate Adventure,” is another fabulous book dealing with the endless possibilities of imagination. How do you measure immeasurable things is the question pondered in “How Big is the Sky.”

Our wonderful helper in the Library - Deb, bought a book for all the children to listen to when she was on holiday in Fiji. “My Ocean Home Fiji,”looks at caring for the environment. “Neville’s Great Escape," is a fantastic sequel to “Franks Red Hat,” and I love the rhyme and rhythm of “Hello Cocky.”

We also have some other texts up our sleeve and we have been shopping!

Look out for some new books to borrow including the wonderful Oliver Moon series and lots of other surprises!!

Make sure you have your Library bag ready for your Library borrowing day.
