Principal's Report

Colour Run
Today we held our annual Colour Fun Run and the school oval turned into a rainbow-filled playground of laughter, movement, and fun.
Some students dashed ahead to avoid the colour, while others paused to soak up every splash – the energy was so vibrant.!
The excitement continued after the run when some of our brave staff got slimed as a reward for students who raised $100 or more. We are so thankful to the families who raised funds for this event that will be used to further improve our school. We were also grateful to see a number of our parents come and watch some of the fun!
FUNDRAISING CLOSING DATE
Our fundraising will close on Monday 17th November. This is the last day to have any fundraising go through. Raising as little as $10 will score a prize. It is not too late to set up an online profile - http://www.myprofilepage.com.au/ and click register to create a parent profile and follow the instructions.
PRIZE SELECTION DATES
On Tuesday 18th November, you will be able to go back into your online profile and select your prizes. This needs to be completed by Friday 21st November, to ensure prizes are delivered before the end of term. If prizes haven't been inputted by this date, they will be selected at random.

Leadership Opportunities
We offer our students many leadership opportunities and many of our Year 6 students have fulfilled formal positions with a great sense of pride and responsibility. Student Leaders attend meetings and training, promote the school values, deliver messages within the school, plan and implement fundraising and assist in the school office and classrooms. Positions include School Captains, Vice Captains as well as Curriculum Leaders for areas such as Mathematics, English or Art.
Our current Year 5s are in the process of applying for these positions for 2026, and we aim to provide many opportunities for our students to develop their leadership potential. This week, I was particularly impressed by the large number of students who made a speech to their peers, teachers and school leaders, explaining why they would make an excellent School Captain or Vice Captain. Later next week, I will conduct interviews with students who have been shortlisted. These students will be notified by Tuesday afternoon.
Once the process has been finalised, the successfully appointed students will be notified and announced to the community at our final Whole School Assembly on the 8th of December, followed by a formal badge presentation in early 2026.
Christmas Celebrations
It’s not long to go before our annual Christmas Carols evening on Thursday 4th December, we invite families to join us on the school oval from 5:30pm for a BYO picnic. Bring along some nibbles, a picnic rug or camp chair and find a spot to watch the carols from.
Please note this event runs successfully each year based on the following expectations:
- this being a pet, alcohol and smoke-free event
- photos and/or videos can be taken during the event and we expect these to be used respectfully, for example when posting on social media.
- gates will not be open until 5pm for this event, due to setting up access requirements
- children need to be actively supervised by families, as staff are not on duty/paid until the event starts.
Students generally wear Christmas themed clothing, however, class teachers will be in touch with parents if a specific item (e.g reindeer antlers) are required for their class performance.
The Concert then starts at 6:00pm, where each class will perform one Christmas song. The students will be required to sit with their classes at the front of the stage area during this time. The event will finish at roughly 7:30pm.
If your child/family do not want to participate in Christmas related activities, due to religious or cultural beliefs, please contact the office.
Road Safety
For families travelling by car, please remember that our school zone is a 40km zone before and after school times.
If you are a parent of a student who travels independently to school, i.e. bike or walking, take a few minutes to review your expectations with your child about their travel to and from school. Here are some great reminders below for us all.
The Big Day Out
Our Year 6 students are looking forward to their Big Day Out excursion to Gumbuya World on 18th December, as their final weeks of Year 6 draw nearer. More details will be sent to Year 6 families via Compass soon.
