Mathematics

This term, our focus in Mathematics will include:
- Place value - consolidation of previously taught concepts, being able to name, order, and rename both three- and four-digit numbers.
- Additive thinking - developing fluency with addition and subtraction facts to 20.
- Multiplication - revising and consolidating previously taught knowledge, including how multiplication and division have an inverse relationship.
- Fractional thinking - investigating how both shapes and collections can be divided into halves, quarters and eighths, and how these fractions are related by repeated halving.
- Time - working to tell the time on both digital and analogue clocks, and telling time to the quarter-hour.
- Statistics - developing ability to record and represent data using graphs, including use of software.
- Length - building ability to use formal and informal units to measure the length of a range of objects.
- Capacity - identifying and comparing the capacity of different 3D containers.
