On Monday 25th November our Year 9 students took part in our first ever WONDERLAB.
This involved students working during the term on their own scientific investigation throughout the term.
The top experiments of each class had the opportunity to present a TED talk whilst all other groups created a scientific poster to display in our Wonderlab rooms. Junior classes and teachers viewed and judged the posters with winners to be announced at this weeks assemblies.
The Ted talks were attended by three expert scientists that helped to Judge the best TED Talk and the best Poster. Thank you to Luke Westmore, Frank Drost and Ben Kiefel for giving up their mornings to support our students in their scientific endeavours.
The display was amazing and the TED talks well presented and informative. Well done to all Year 9 students on an amazing display, you should all be congratulated on your hard work.
Year 9 TED Talk Winners were:
Jitho – Doppler Effect Investigation
Ayaan, Teagan, Adhithi, Angeline – Which antacid is the best at neutralising stomach acid?
Year 9 Poster Winners were:
