Letter from the Head of Campus

Dear Parents and Families,

As we near the end of 2024, we give thanks to God for His faithfulness for this school year. Together, we have navigated moments of joy and challenges, celebrated successes, and witnessed His hand at work in the lives of our students, staff and College Family.

This year has been one of growth and learning, not only academically but also spiritually. Through every lesson taught, every prayer spoken, and every step taken, we have strived to keep Christ at the centre of all we do.

A Year in Reflection

The school year often feels like a voyage, with moments of beautiful sunshine, warmth and calm seas, however there can be unexpected storms. Through it all, our community has achieved great moments in its sixth year; it has stood strong, united in faith and purpose. Our students have shown independence, resilience, and courage in their learning, supported by their teachers and families.

We are especially thankful for the new programs and opportunities we had introduced this year, such as the Sport Program, the Year 7 and 8 Band Program and the College Instrumental Music Program. Our many College events and two Presentation nights highlighted our students and their achievements, as we also celebrated our family partnership. Additionally, we celebrated the growth of our inaugural Year 10 cohort, as some prepare for selected VCE Unit 1 & 2 subjects. These milestones remind us of the exciting future ahead for Christway College.

Looking Ahead

As we step into the Christmas season and prepare for a well-earned break, we are already looking forward to 2025, a year filled with promise, new challenges, and God’s blessings. We pray that the seeds sown this year will continue to grow, bearing fruit in the lives of our students and families.

As we celebrate the birth of Christ, may we all be reminded of the incredible gift of His love and grace. Just as the angels proclaimed peace and joy to the shepherds, we pray that your homes are filled with the same peace and joy this Christmas.
